Description:

·         Co-ordinating the purchasing of all stock for the business

·         Ensuring that only approved suppliers are utilized

·         Identifying, acquiring, and managing resources and suppliers that are essential to the operations of the Organization

·         Responsible for Cost control, the efficient allocation of resources, risk management, and the effective gathering of information for business decisions.

·         Ensuring that predetermined stock level is not exceeded

·         Minimize stock outs

·         Monitoring and managing purchase restrictions in the system to control buying

·         Drawing up and maintaining a store map in accordance with the standards laid out in the manual

·         Maintaining and updating the Inventory Management Manual and ensuring staff are informed and have easy access to it.

·         Control dead and surplus stock

·         Ensuring stock file integrity by investigating and correcting all stock anomalies

·         Controlling and rectifying negative stocks

·         Manage Stock Control function, GRN function, Receiving and Procurement

 

·         Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing, pricing and distribution of goods. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure quality of products. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery. Provide technical support where necessary.

Requirements:

Grade 12

A good understanding of the business

Make and maintain good customer and people relationships

Must be able to plan and schedule their own work and employees work

Must have 5 - 10 years in a retail / operations environment
